mv and cp can also move or copy pages into another space: a cross-space mv needs -y / --yes, single-page cp does not, and cp -r needs -y unless -n. You can’t move or copy spaces.
mv and cp accept at most 100 sources. Glob * / ? applies only to the last segment of each source path on the command line (not DEST, not piped stdin). Zero matches is an error. You can also use find -name PATTERN | mv DEST or find -name PATTERN | cp DEST. There is no Bulk multi-select panel UI.
- If one source fails, Shell keeps the successful moves or copies.
rm / del moves pages to trash and requires -y / --yes. Up to 100 targets (named paths, globs, or piped paths). A space can only be deleted on its own.
attach lists, finds, trashes, or renames page attachments. No upload or purge. attach find and du use the search index (may lag after uploads; archived or hidden pages are not counted).
archive needs Confluence Standard or above (not Free). It archives one page at a time, max 100 per run. No unarchive.
label writes global labels only, max 100 pages and 10 names per run. find -label may lag right after labeling.
cp -r copies one page tree, at most 200 pages; DEST may be in another space.
- Confluence folders:
ls, cd, find, tree, du, and attach find work with folders. mv, cp, rm, archive, label, touch, chmod, cat, and checkout refuse folder paths. Folder listings use search and may lag right after a folder is created or moved.
tree prints an ASCII page tree (default depth 3). It only lists; use cp -r to copy a tree.
- Command separators (
;, &&), redirection (>), and variables are not supported. Pipes (|) are. ls --format csv and find --format csv are terminal output — pipe or copy them; there is no file redirect.
