wc

Function	Prints the line count of a page or piped input.
Options	-l — line count. Bare wc and wc -l both print one number.
Limitations	wc requires a page path or piped input. -w and -c are not supported.

With stdin, PATH arguments are ignored. Without stdin, PATH is required. Page body is read as plain text.

$ wc ./page
$ wc -l ./page
$ ls | wc
$ find ./Docs | wc
