tree
| Function | Prints an ASCII page/space tree under PATH using classic box-drawing characters (├── └── │) with titles. |
| Options | -L N (preferred), --maxdepth N, or -maxdepth N. Default depth is 3 when omitted. 0 is only the start node. |
| Limitations | At most one PATH. Default PATH is .. Visual listing only — not a bulk tree migrator. Same safety caps spirit as find (5000 nodes / 250 child fetches; Esc / Ctrl+C aborts). |
With no PATH, tree starts at the current directory (same as tree .). The first line is the start node title, or / when starting at site root. Titles are shown (not full path strings). PATH and options may appear in any order.
