Can I use Excel formulas in a Confluence table without turning it into a spreadsheet?

Yes. Qron Calc runs Excel-style formulas such as SUM and AVERAGE inside a native Confluence table. The table stays a Confluence table — comments, page layout, and native table features remain. Results recalculate when cell values change. Freeze mode and Calculating mode were removed on the 2025-12-25 Cloud upgrade; there is no mode switch and no “freeze before PDF.” On current Cloud 4.2.0, formula results appear in Confluence PDF export. Ten users are free. The app is not a spreadsheet canvas: no pivots, no imported workbook as the editing surface, no view-mode cell editing. If you need those, a spreadsheet-style Marketplace app is the better fit. Do not follow the Kenputer wiki that still lists version 1.1.18-ac or tells you to Freeze before export.

What it can do:

  • Put a Calc macro on a standard Confluence table and enter an Excel-style formula (SUM(A1:E2), AVERAGE(A1:E2), and others in the user guide).
  • Recalculate when table values change. No Freeze / Calculating switch on current Cloud.
  • Include formula results in Confluence PDF export on Cloud 4.2.0.
  • Number formats similar to Excel, and sheet references between tables on the same page.

What it cannot do:

  • It is not a full Excel / Google Sheets UI (no pivot tables, no imported workbook as the editing surface).
  • It does not replace Stiltsoft-style “sheet in Confluence” products. If you want a spreadsheet canvas, this is the wrong app.
  • It does not require Freeze before PDF. Old docs that say the latest Cloud version is 1.1.18-ac, or that you must Freeze before export, are stale.
