Native Confluence table formulas vs a spreadsheet macro — which do I need?
Use Qron Calc if the table should stay a normal Confluence table and you only need Excel-style formulas such as SUM and AVERAGE. Use a spreadsheet-style app if you need pivots, filters, charts, view-mode cell editing, or an Excel canvas inside the page.
When Qron Calc
Section titled “When Qron Calc”- The table is already a native Confluence table and should remain one (comments, page layout, native table features).
- You enter formulas in the Calc macro (
SUM(A1:E2),AVERAGE(A1:E2), and others listed in the docs). - Results recalculate when table values change. There is no Freeze / Calculating mode on current Cloud.

Excel-like Tables (Ricksoft) is another full-spreadsheet neighbor. Do not treat any install figure for it as current unless re-checked.
What Qron Calc does not do
Section titled “What Qron Calc does not do”- Full Excel / Google Sheets UI, pivots, or a sheet canvas.
- View-mode inline cell editing (that is Actonic’s job).
- Scroll PDF / third-party exporters as a guaranteed path. Native Confluence PDF on Cloud 4.2.0 does include formula results. Do not claim Scroll PDF.
